Morgenbrød


This is what I'm talking about.

I realize you may not understand my point of view regarding the importance of morgenbrød, but let me assure you, the above pictured pastry for breakfast is a definite bonus.

Just thought sharing the picture might help (and rub it in if I was in that way inclined, but am not. definitely not).

I live in the country where no such thing as good bread exisits and I come from the country where bread is delicious. Therefore, I look forward to morgenbrod.

It is awesome! You will not be disappointed, but will totally get sucked into my obsession with this stuff. Danes sure know their bread.

This group blog thing is actually quite interesting, this blog doesn't have one personality with everyone chipping in... I like that.

just have to chip in and say that that is a representative of the best kinds of morgenbrød the bottom two are called tebirkes and the top twisty one is a frøsnapper.

they are fantastic.

the danes do know their pastry--that's why we call it danish in the US, i think. i don't really know that, i just made that up right now.
